(In His Arms Caregiver Support Ministry)
My name is Paula Cathey, and I am deeply humbled and overjoyed to share with you the birth of a ministry that God placed on my heart many years ago. It is with great anticipation and faith that I introduce Highlands Baptist Church’s *In His Arms* Caregiver Support Ministry.
As a caregiver myself, I understand the profound challenges that come with this journey. My husband, John, was just 48 years old when an unexpected and massive stroke changed our lives forever. It affected his entire left side and brought significant cognitive challenges. That was 11 years ago, and through every trial, I have witnessed the incredible faithfulness of our Lord. I can’t wait for you all to meet John and see firsthand the remarkable progress he’s made by the grace of God.
In my journey, I sought support in various places, but I often found something missing—something my soul longed for as a follower of Christ. My relationship with God has been the cornerstone of my strength as I navigate the daily challenges of caregiving. It was through this realization that the Lord placed a calling on my heart to create a space for others who walk this path, to offer them not just support, but a place to anchor their hope in Christ.
*In His Arms* is more than just a support group; it is a sanctuary. It is a place where we can come together sharing our trials and triumphs, lifting one another up in prayer, and finding rest in the embrace of our Savior. While we gather to encourage one another, our loved ones will also be cared for, meeting in another room where they can enjoy devotion and fellowship with others facing similar challenges.
Everyone is welcome!
In every new challenge I face, I find my strength in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I invite you to step into His arms with me—to find peace, strength, and joy as we share this journey together. Let us grow in faith, support one another, and experience the power of God’s love in our lives. Please email, text or call for meeting times and further information.
